This book was published by the foundation Kunst & Cultuur Overijssel. This foundation ceased to exist in December 2012.

Het boek werd door de stichting Kunst & Cultuur Overijssel uitgegeven. Deze stichting is in december 2012 opgeheven.

 ‘Windesheim voorbij?’ was inspired by the design Jacob Otten Husly made for Sir Van Braam’s ‘garden’ behind his castle. The ideas for the garden are explained in a letter from the designer to sir Van Braam dated February 1789. (see the last page on the right). These ideas are hardly visible anymore in the present day landscape but are still there if you look carefully. The castle itself was bombed in October 1944 by the Allied Forces.

The forty drawings contained in the book evoke what was destroyed. In a Jungian way, the drawings tell about birth and death, about creation and destruction.

‘Windesheim voorbij?’ is geïnspireerd door het ontwerp dat Jacob Otten Husly maakte voor de heer Van Braam’s ‘tuin’ achter zijn havezate. De ideeën voor de tuin worden in een brief (februari 1789) van de ontwerper aan de heer Van Braam uiteengezet. (zie de laatste bladzijde rechts). Deze ideeën zijn nu nauwelijks meer terug te vinden. Maar ze zijn er nog steeds als men goed kijkt. De havezate werd in oktober 1944 door de geallieerden gebombardeerd.

De veertig tekeningen van het boek brengen wat is verwoest tot leven. Op Jungiaanse wijze, verhalen de tekeningen van geboorte en dood, van schepping en vernieling.
